The new Google phones were just announced yesterday and we now already have for download Pixel 3 Google Camera 6.1 APK. The new, updated Google Camera from Google Pixel 3 brings a new UI, RAW support and a new Panorama mode. After installation, you will notice the interface has finally been updated to match other Google apps with Material Design 2.0. The dated hamburger menu is now gone and all the camera features can be accessed by swiping left or right on the screen. Several Pixel 3 specific features like Live Lens, Top Shot and live focus tracking are not available on other phones, may be someone will port them after the phone releases.
Google Camera 6.1 APK was pulled out of the Google Pixel 3 and is now available for download and installation on other Android phones running on Android Pie. We are still exploring the app for new features, but for now, you can also download it from the link below and try it on your phone. Google Camera 6.1 APK seems to be working great with our Google Pixel 2 XL. Overall, you will find a number of new features and improvements throughout the app.

The new Panaroma mode is now much easier to use. You do not need to align the dots to stitch the pictures together. This new mode has better stitching quality and the panoramas are now optimized for viewing on a VR headset. Google Pixel 2 (the smaller version) have always had problems with the quality of Panorama mode. The end result was blurry and completely out of focus. If you happen to own the smaller Pixel 2, test out the new Google Camera app and let us know if the problems have been fixed.
For those waiting to try the new night mode, called as Night Sight, in this Google Camera app, you will have to wait a little longer. Night Sight is expected to arrive next month. And if you have missed, Google Photos features like depth editing and color pop are now live!
