How To Disable WhatsApp Status Feature
Before we move on to the guide, make sure that you Android phone is rooted then continue reading the guide:
Step 1 – First, Force Stop WhatsApp App by going to Settings > Apps > WhatsApp and hitting the Force Stop button.
Step 2 – Now Open the file manager you are using and search for the folder /data/data/com.whatsapp/shared_prefs/ where you will find a file with the name under com.whatsapp.preferences.xml and open this file in a text editor.
Step 3 – Find the Key Name ”Status_mode” which will be showing you some codes:

Step 4 – Now all you have to do is to change the value from 1 to 0:

Step 5 – Now save the changes you made and open the WhatsApp. The Status tab will disappear now.
