OnePlus X gets another update. The update bumps the software version from Oxygen OS 2.2.0 to 2.2.2. The update brings some improvements to the camera, a new SwiftKey version ( which does not make sense as users can update SwiftKey from Play Store), and July security patch.
Here are all the new features and changes the new update brings:
- Upgraded camera to version 1.4 UI
- Improved camera frame rate performance
- Added trusted face unlock security option
- Updated Swiftkey to version 6.3.3
- Updated carrier name mapping
- Added July 1 security patch
- Fixed default SIM card selection issue
- Fixed network operator selection issue
- Fixed screen rotation issue
- General improvements and bug fixes
The update weighs around 330 MB and can be downloaded OTA. Make sure that you are connected to Wifi to avoid any additional carrier charges. The update is available worldwide but it may take some time to reach your device as the roll out happens in phases.
OnePlus One, the first phone from the flagship killer company, is also getting an update which only includes the August security patch. There are no new features in OnePlus One update. Still , it is good to see that the old phone is also getting some updates.
