WhatsApp Update Brings Permanent Notification For WhatsApp Web


A beta update for WhatsApp for Android brings a feature which might be annoying for some users. The new beta update, version 2.16.86, brings a permanent notification for WhatsApp Web. This notification will pop up when you start using the Web version on one of your browsers or through WhatsApp for Desktop, which was introduced recently.

The notification is permanent, you cannot swipe it away, but when you stop using the web for some time, the notification will go away. As soon as you’ll open that tab again, the notification will appear on your phone again. This feature is useful for most of the users but it might also be annoying for some users.

The notification will also appear on your lock screen as well if you are using Android Lollipop or Android Marshmallow.

WhatsApp Web was introduced by the company last year. It lets you use WhatsApp on your PC in any browser. Although your phone must be connected to the internet in order to use the web feature. Because it is just  a remote for your phone. You can not use it without your phone. It will just show you the messages you receive on your phone.

Recently, a desktop app was also introduced by the company. The desktop app works just like the WhatsApp Web. The only difference is that you don’t have to open any specific URL in a browser to access the feature. You just open and app and you are good to go.
