All smartphones manufacturers picking up the pace to release the Marshmallow update for its devices. As we know that Android N has been announced already and most of the devices are not yet upgraded to even Android Marshmallow. So it’s the right time for all manufacturers to release the Android Marshmallow for their devices as soon as possible.
Samsung Galaxy S5 has already got the Marshmallow in many countries around the world. Today, India has also got the Samsung Galaxy S5 Marshmallow update. After the new update, the firmware version will be G900IDDU1CPD1 on the Galaxy S5 units. The update will bump the Android version to 6.0.1 Marshmallow. It will also include the monthly security package.
The new update will bring many new features to all of these devices. For example, Doze will be included, which is a traditional Marshmallow feature. Doze doubles the battery timing of your Android smartphone when it is stationary and its screen is off. Improved app permissions will also be included in the update.
You should have got the software update notification on your Galaxy S5, but if you haven’t yet, go to the settings, about phone and software update section to check for the update manually.
