Huawei P9 and P9 Plus, along with Huawei P9 Max were in rumors since a couple of months. Today, Huawei has made the P9 and P9 Plus official with excellent specifications.
The Huawei P9 comes with 5.2-inch display with a resolution of 1920×1080. The display has the corning gorilla glass protection. It comes with Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box and of course, it will get the updates for at least 18 months from its launch. It has the flagship chipset, the company’s own HiSilicon Kirin 955, with Quad-core 2.5 GHz Cortex-A72 & quad-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Mali-T880 MP4 GPU.
RAM and storage come in 2 versions. There is a 32 GB storage version with 3 GB RAM and a 64 GB storage version with 4 GB RAM. Both versions have a Micro SD card slot to expand the memory up to 128 GB. The camera is dual 12 MP Leica optics and the front camera is 8 MP. Camera can not record 4K video though. 1080p is the max video resolution. A dual LED flash and optical image stabilization is included to improve the image capturing.
It is the first phone from Huawei to come with USB Type-C port.
The Huawei P9 Plus is the bigger version of original P9. It has a 5.5-inch display and rest of the specifications are almost same. It comes in a single, 64 GB storage and 4 GB RAM version only. It also has a USB Type-C port and it cannot record 4K videos as well.
Speaking of price, The P9 costs you €599 for 3GB/32GB version and €649 for the 4GB/64GB variant and it will be available on April 16 in most of the countries.
The P9 Plus costs €749 and it will be available on May 20.
