As we know that Google has started to release a security update for Android devices every month to make them more secure. Most of the manufacturers, including Samsung, push the update to their devices regularly. Google released the February update at the start of this month to their Nexus devices. Since then, many manufacturers including Huawei, Motorola and Blackberry rolled out the update to their devices. Today, Samsung, as well, has also rolled out the update to their devices.
The update has been rolled out to Samsung’s “flagship devices”. It isn’t explicitly mentioned that which devices have got the update. However, according to some reports, the devices which are receiving the February security update are Galaxy S5, Galaxy Note 4, Galaxy Note 6, Galaxy S6 edge, Galaxy S6 edge+, Galaxy S6, Tab S and Tab S2.
The update will make the devices more secure and make them less vulnerable to viruses. Other devices other than the devices mentioned above might or might not receive the update as Samsung didn’t say anything about those devices. Those devices should not be ignored by Samsung as may be more users use those devices than the people use flagship ones.
