Samsung Releases Galaxy A8 in India for About $510

Samsung announced Galaxy A8, their thinnest smartphone, in China last month. Today Samsung has released the A8 in India. The phone is now available to purchase from online stores or physical stores in India for INR 32,500. That is about $510, very near to the price unveiled previously.

The Galaxy A8 in India is launched with Exynos 5430 chipset, which is company’s own chipset. It has an octa core CPU with four Cortex-A15, 1.8 GHz cores and four Cortex-A7, 1.3 GHz cores. The Galaxy A8 is the thinnest phone company has ever made. Samsung Galaxy A8 is insanely thin, it is only 5.9mm thick. Specifications are not very high end but are still decent enough to fight any mid-range phone in the market and to give an excellent performance.

It comes with 2GB RAM for smooth multitasking. Internal memory is 16 GB which is further expandable with a Micro SD card up to 128 GB. There’s a large 3050mAh battery to give a long battery life. Despite its slimmer size, the battery is even larger than the flagship Galaxy S6. It comes with a 5.7 inches 1080p display. There’s a 16 MP back camera and a 5 MP front camera for selfies.
