Lava Pixel  V1 is 2nd generation Android One phone and it comes with a considerable hardware upgrade. It still runs on stock Android. Specifications wise, the phone offers quite a decent hardware. It now comes with 2GB of RAM. The chipset is Mediatek MT6582 this time with a quad-core 1.3 GHz processor. GPU is Mali-400MP2. Internal memory is now whopping 32GB which is further expandable with a MicroSD card. Check put the press images below.

Camera is 8MP but it takes 13MP photos. Thanks to the software enhancements. Similarly, the front camera has a 5MP lens but it can take 8MP photos. Both cameras can record 1080p videos. The battery is 2,650mAh, which will give 20 hours of 2G talk time and 12 hours of 3G talk time. The best thing about this phone is, of course, that it comes with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop and a promise of 2 years regular updates support. It means that for two years, this phone will get regular and quick updates just like Nexus devices.

The phone will be available for INR 11,349 (around $175) in India. The price is fair enough considering the hardware. Android One second generation is currently available in India only and we expect to see it in other countries soon.
