Samsung Announces Galaxy A8, Their Thinnest Phone Ever

After following a number of rumors, Samsung officially announced Galaxy A8, the thinnest phone company has ever made. Samsung Galaxy A8 is insanely thin, it is only 5.9mm thick. Specifications are not very high end but are still decent enough to fight any mid-range phone in the market and to give an excellent performance.

Samsung Galaxy A8 comes with a 5.7 inches Super AMOLED capacitive touchscreen with a screen resolution of 1920×1080. It packs a 16MP main camera along with a 5MP front facing camera. Both cameras are capable of recording 1080p videos. There’s an octa-core Snapdragon 615 under the hood with an Adreno 405 GPU. It comes with 16GB internal storage which is further expandable with a Micro SD card up to 128 GB. And despite its slim design, Samsung has managed to put a large 3050mAh battery inside the device, which is even larger than the Galaxy S6’s battery.

This is fourth phone in the Samsung Galaxy A series, after A3, A5 and A7. Check out the Samsung Galaxy A8 in the following press shots. We can’t wait to try out the phone ourselves.

Samsung Galaxy A8 should be available in China this quarter. It will be available in white, black and gold. There are no words on international release yet.
