Did ASUS ZenFone 2 Replace Budget Phone Moto G?

Earlier this month, ASUS as Computex in Taiwan introduced their new ZenFone 2, though at that time they weren’t very specific about its price. But now as Amazon is selling ZenFone 2 for $199, it seems that Motorola has got themselves a heads on in the price range.

Motorola revealed Moto G (second generation) last year in the third quarter, and it sure did took the tech world by a wave because of the features you were getting in the low price. Moto G offered a GB of RAM, a Quadcore processor, an 8 megapixels camera, and a 2 megapixels front camera. The most fascinating part of the phone was that, the oh so amazing specs came just under the $200 window. Yes, that’s what amazed the world, and that’s what made it one of the best budget phone for 2015. Also, it has been on the Amazon bestsellers till now.

After the release of ASUS’ budget device – The ASUS ZenFone 2, it seems like it may have replaced the previous one, and also that it has already takes Moto G’s place at the bestsellers on Amazon. ASUS challenges the Moto G with specs no less than theirs, a bit better perhaps. It offers an Intel Atom Quadcore processor, 2GB RAM (better than the Moto G), 13 megapixels camera (also better than Moto G), 5 megapixels front camera and also comes in 16/32/64 GB variants. Well guess what? All of this, jam packed under $200 window. Yes, this is some serious specs with that price range.

What we think is, that 2GB RAM really changes the game. This could easily give Moto G a hard time, because we ourselves have faced some lag issues with the 1 GB RAM of Moto G, other than that, it nearly is the same device with different manufacturer.
