The stable EMUI 9.1 update is now rolling out to the Chinese Mate 20 Pro and Huawei Mate 20 X (AL00 models). Just a few days back Huawei started taking registrations for the beta testing of the EMUI 9.1 update, but looks like the update was stable enough so the team has now started rolling out the update in China. All this comes in with the official announcement that EMUI 9.1 will be releasing for 49 devices!
Huawei Mate 20 Pro and Mate 20 X have been the last year’s flagships of the company which brought a number of new features to the phone. Both these phones were already running Android 9 Pie, but the EMUI received a number of new features with its EMUI 9.1 update that was launched with the Huawei P30 Pro.
This new update is 4.5 GB in size and with that huge number brings a number of new features like better GPU Turbo 3.0 technology, better integration for a voice assistant and updates to the Gallery. You will also be able to auto-tune your voice using the now-built-in Quan Min Karaoke app which could be a Chinese-only addition. The EMUI 9.1.0.116 is very large in size considering the Android base version is the same. So that only means Huawei has updated or added a lot of new features within the system OS.
Now one can only hope that Huawei will release the official and stable EMUI 9.1 update for the Mate 20 and Mate 20 RS soon too. And for the rest of the Huawei and Honor phones, your EMUI 9.1 update will be rolling out soon.
Let us know if you have already received this update on your phone. What do you think of all the awesome new features? We will update you soon on when the global rollout of EMUI 9.1 starts for the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. The wait is on!
