The bootloader terminology might seem a little technical and complicated which it is not. Further, we have broken down all the steps required to unlock bootloader on Huawei / Honor devices into smaller and easier to implement parts.
As per standard, all Huawei and Honor phones come with a locked bootloader from the factory. Instead of completely locking it down, Huawei gives its consumers a chance to unlock it. The unlock process is supported officially but once the bootloader is unlocked, chances are the warranty would be void. For many users, losing warranty is no issue compared to what can be gained especially with further mods such as root. We even have a dedicated guide on few important backup tips that surely will show you some clever techniques in creating backups of your phone.
