Android 5.1 Lollipop Announced – Multi-SIM Support, HD Voice Calling, Device Protection

Android 5.1 Lollipop has just been announced by Google. We saw the very first update rolled out with the Android One devices recently, but Google has finally taken the wraps off officially with a blog post. The new update brings lots of bug fixes and with that, introduces some new features that we’ll discuss in detail later — multi-SIM support, better device protection and now supports HD voice calling.

Not much is said about the Google devices that will be getting this new Android 5.1 Lollipop update, but keep a lookout for the official factory images to be put up online very soon. This blog post means an official over-the-air (OTA) update is on its way right now to all the supported Android phones and tablets.
