2017 has just been ushered in and Samsung is already on full throttle. Today, the brand has announced the 2017 version of its popular mid-range Galaxy A series, naming it Galaxy A (2017). For what seemed as an experiment back in 2014, the series has gained lot of good reviews therefore pushing the company to announce newer generations.
The new 2017 series comes with the same 3 smartphone lineup, Galaxy A3 (2017), Galaxy A5 (2017) and the largest, Galaxy A7 (2016). Samsung’s President of Mobile Communications Business, DJ Koh says:“At Samsung, we are always trying to ensure our customers have the most advanced products on the market,” He further added “The latest Galaxy A series is a testament to this. We integrated our unique approach to design as well as the features Galaxy customers have come to love to provide added performance without compromising on style.
Technical specifications for complete Galaxy A (2017) series have been given below.
Highlight changes as indicated by Samsung include a premium metal frame and 3D glass, enhanced front and rear 16 mega-pixel cameras and most importantly, IP68 water and dust resistance. The internals have also been upgraded featuring microSD card support for upto 256GB cards. Software features from the Samsung Galaxy S7 have also been added such as Always On Display and Secure Folder.
