Samsung has announced the Galaxy J7 Prime as the successor to the Galaxy J7 (2016) released months back. The new phone is being sold by Samsung in multiple markets right now and fortunately, we have one with us for review. We have the Pakistani variant with us but as it complies with international variant standards, the unboxing experience is expected to remain the same throughout. The full review is in the works and will be published soon but till then, you can read this Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime unboxing post.
The contents of the box have been displayed below with the help of pictures. The phone is centered towards the budget market but unlike others, the phone comes with all the accessories you see in high end smartphones and then some.
The box itself is a little bit unusual as it opens up with a top flap and then you have to slide the whole package outwards from the top. Fortunately, the brand has upped the choice of materials with this J7 iteration. The new Galaxy J7 Prime boasts a metal uni-body enclosure. As you remove the plastic covering, you notice that despite of the sheer size of the screen and metal design, the phone is light. Despite that, you also notice that the brand has graciously applied a factory screen protector on the screen. This saves you the trouble of hunting for one when you purchase the device. The protector itself is of light plastic and doesn’t intrude on the glass experience as much.
Coming to the device itself, you will see the usual Samsung branding on the front top and in the middle on the back. There is also a DUOS logo located at the back of our variant as it supports Dual SIM technology. No speaker holes on either the top or bottom, rather it has a side-vent. Moving on to the box, let’s see what accessories are included.
After the handset has been removed, you need to open a white flap to reveal other contents. Under this flap lies all the paperwork (Warranty and User Guide). Right below that, you will find sections housing the USB adapter for charging, a standard Micro-USB cable and a pair of decent headphones with mic. Also, you get a tray removal tool for SIM card slots and microSD card slot. Here is a complete list of things you find inside the box:
- Samsung Galaxy J7 Prime
- User guides
- SIM ejection pin
- Micro USB cable
- Standard Charging adapter
