The brand has been supporting dual lens for quite some time and now that the P20 Pro has been released with triple camera modules on the back, the company is looking to extend dual lens capability to all its smartphones including the budget focused Y7 Prime 2018. Further, the new Y7 Prime 2018 sports an edgy design along with an 18:9 display.

Huawei follows a traditional approach with the Y7 Prime 2018 box. The package comes in a usual rectangular shape that fits the phone perfectly on top and also is deep enough to carry all the accessories that it ships with.

Taking away the top part of the Y7 Prime 2018 box, we are greeted by the phone itself. It comes packaged in a protective plastic bag. As for our unit, we have the Y7 Prime 2018 in black color variant. If you want you can get it in either of the other two color options as well – Blue and Gold. Fortunately, the device ships with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage as standard which is a big plus in this price bracket.

After taking out the phone, the next thing you find laying within the box is the screen protector. Again, this is a great move by Huawei — providing some essential accessories that customers purchase right after buying a smartphone. Going further, you find the quick start guide and also a clear shell case. Left after that is the USB cable, standard charger and a set of headphones. That’s all for what ships in the box.

Tracing our steps back to the phone, it is quite a welcome design. Starting from the front, this phone provides a 18:9 display and no physical buttons. The bezels have been reduced quite a lot thanks to the longer screen ratio. As for the external chassis, the back is plastic with an aluminium like aesthetic to it. Also, there is an external glossy plastic rim to the phone.
