In this guide we will be listing all official Samsung Galaxy Note 20 model numbers, variants and differences between each. Falling in line with Galaxy S20 series, the new Note 20 lineup features two major editions: standard Galaxy Note 20 and Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. The Ultra variant replaces the Note 10 Plus and also takes place of Galaxy S20 Ultra as being the most high-powered phone Samsung currently offers. There are various subtle differences between the two which you can read ahead.
New Galaxy Note 20 lineup features 5G compatibility but not across all models and variants. In which it does, it has support for all major 5G bands — a big plus! Seeing how 5G availability is increasing gradually, it is a great future-proof feature for a flagship device such as the Galaxy Note 20. Exterior-wise, it is easy to tell the Note 20 and Note 20 Ultra apart. The Ultra variant is larger, features a bigger camera bump and has a front curved display unlike the flat one on the standard Note 20.
Samsung will be taking pre-orders for Galaxy Note 20 starting from August 6th. Delivery and in-store availability is set for August 21st. If you are looking to buy one for yourself in US, do go through our detailed where to buy Galaxy Note 20 (and in the UK) guide.
Samsung Galaxy Note 20, Note 20 Ultra – Key Differences:
With the Galaxy Note 20 coming in two major options, the choice would be relatively easy for prospective buyers. Discussing the differences between them, we have divided them into key categories right below.
Display
Standard Galaxy Note 20 features a 6.7-inch FHD+ flat whereas Note 20 Ultra offers 6.9-inch WQHD+ curved display. More, Note 20 Ultra offers 120Hz refresh rate that is absent on standard variant.
Note 20 Ultra definitely offers the better panel but with the standard Note, you get a smaller form factor along with a flat screen which might be a preference for some.

Keep in mind, the Ultra has a higher refresh rate screen which might result in equivalent, if not less, battery throughput. Both phones feature charging speeds of 25W for wired, 15W for wireless and 4.5W reverse wireless charging.
Camera
For the optics department, Samsung has equipped Note20 with a main wide 12MP, f/1.8, OIS sensor, secondary telephoto 64MP, f/2.0, hybrid 3x zoom sensor and tertiary ultrawide 12MP, f/2.2 module.
