How to Use Ultrawide, Telephoto, Macro Lens with Google Camera Port


Thanks to a new Google Camera port, users that have phones with more than one camera lens can now utilize them from within GCam mod. Before, Google Camera mod only worked with the primary lens on all phones regardless if physical hardware was present that allowed for Ultrawide, Telephoto and Macro shots. Now, with the most recent GCam mod, its possible to utilize these extra auxiliary camera lens.

Google has been pretty adamant in relying on the least amount of camera lens as possible. Pixel 4 series was the first to carry more than one camera. However, for other competing phones, dual and even triple lens have become the norm. Be it OnePlus or Samsung, most phones are now equipped with ultrawide and telephoto lens in addition to the primary one. And thanks to this latest GCam port, these lens can be utilized from within Google Camera app.

Use Ultrawide, Telphoto and Macro Camera Modes:

Since this is the very first time users will be able to utilize secondary camera modes on Google Camera port, there are a few things you need to configure. Further, correct GCam mod APK needs to be downloaded that has support for auxiliary lens.

Configure Google Camera

Step 1 – Download the correct configuration file for your phone from here.

Step 2 – Create a new folder on your phone at the same directory level as your phone’s DCIM folder and name it Configs7.

Step 3 – Open up GCam and double tap the black area around capture button.

Step 4 – There will be a pop-up asking you to choose the config file, from here choose the one you downloaded in Step 1.

Step 5 – The app should automatically restart and load the new configs. Now, go to Settings > Advanced Settings and then tap on Auxiliary Camera. Enable all the lens you want from the page.

That’s it! Now you should be able to switch between different Camera lens on your phone, be it Ultrawide, Telephoto or Macro.
