Previous April software update brought new features like Bixby Routines and new Live focus color effects for Samsung Galaxy A50, making it quite close to Samsung Galaxy A70 and Samsung Galaxy S10 in terms of software experience. Now, Samsung Galaxy A50 is receiving a new official software update which carries May security patch. This time round, the update hasn’t brought new features other than internal improvements and enhancements for Galaxy A50.

New monthly security patch releases are meant to improve security of your Samsung Galaxy A50. May update comes packed with updated and improved camera quality while also enhancing Camera and Wifi stability. Software version for Samsung Galaxy A50 May update is A505FDDU1ASE2 and requires 153MB of space, if updating through OTA over the last official build. Samsung Galaxy A50 is a mid-range phone which satisfies user according to performance and design.

Galaxy A50, May Security Update

Samsung Galaxy A50 May 2019 update

Samsung Galaxy A50 runs on Android 9 Pie, the latest stable Android version on most phones nowadays. Having Android 9 Pie on a Samsung device has its own perks like Samsung’s One UI. This update, along with May security patch, improves and enhances Camera and Wifi stability. Android 10 Q beta program isn’t available for Samsung devices which is a bummer but we can only for a quick upgrade once the version is officially released by Google.

May update can be installed through OTA (Over the Air), given if you are already running official firmware and are in one of the supported regions. If you haven’t received the update on your phone yet then it is possible to check for update manually by Navigating to Settings and look for Software Update. Download and Install the update and if not yet arrived then kindly sit back and wait. The update will arrive within a day or two hopefully.

Let us know in the comments if you’ve received the May update on Samsung Galaxy A50? And tell us about the improvements too which came along with the update. We love hearing from you. Happy Updating!
