Sprint is rolling out April update for Samsung Galaxy S8 / Galaxy S8+. Previously, the network pushed out a similar firmware for Samsung Galaxy S9 and Samsung Galaxy S9+. In a trickle down fashion, 2017’s Galaxy S8 series is now getting updated as well with new security definitions and improvements. The specific codes for each of these builds are: G950USQU5DSD3 for Galaxy S8 and G955USQU5DSD3 for Galaxy S8 Plus. The latest April update looks forward to resolve issues related to Android Pie and Samsung’s own One UI skin.
Sprint was the first carrier within the United States to start releasing April’s updates for the Samsung Galaxy S10 / Galaxy S10e / Galaxy S10 Plus which shows the commitment the brand has for continued software support. Only last month did Sprint also update Samsung Galaxy Note 8, Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ with Android 9 Pie major update that arrived with One UI.
Sprint Galaxy S8 / Galaxy S8+ April Update
Sprint just released an update for the Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ which includes bug fixes, improvements to the OS. Specifically the updates handles 5 critical and multiple high-risk vulnerabilities of the Android OS along with 15 other issues related to the Samsung firmware. This update was released today due to which it might take a week to reach all Samsung Galaxy S8 / S8+ users.
This update is available for the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Samsung Galaxy S8+ users. Samsung Galaxy S8 / Galaxy S8 Plus users will receive a notification for the update and if not then it can be done manually by navigating to Settings -> System -> Advanced -> System updates. If available, Download and install the update as required.
