A brand new OxygenOS 9.0.5 and 9.0.13 is now available for the OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T, respectively. This OTA update comes with the latest March security patch, in April, yes, but the company always launches new features as part of their community updates in Open Beta firmware. So we always have a idea on what’s coming in the next OxygenOS update.
OnePlus is one of the Android OEMs that does non-stock Android extremely well. Their devices are extremely snappy and fast. Their own version of Android fork, the OxygenOS, is highly optimized for their devices.
OxygenOS 9.0.5 – 9.0.13 Changelog
These two updates have just begun rolling out as an incremental update. That first only a small percentage of OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T users will receive the update. And a full rollout will begin in a few days. If you haven’t guessed it yet, OxygenOS 9.0.5 OTA update is for the OnePlus 6 and OxygenOS 9.0.13 is for the OnePlus 6T.

So as you can see, this update not only brings the latest security patch, it also contains some general bug fixes and improvements for the overall OS. And one new feature introduced is the Feedback tool. You can use this tool to report back any bug or submit any feature requests directly to the OxygenOS team at the OnePlus HQ.
This tool was previously included with the Open Beta firmware updates, but however, OnePlus is ready to hear back from users on the stable build as well.
Why March Update in April 2019?
This is not the first time this has happened. But this time, OnePlus has cleared the confusion behind this and have also explained why their updates take time to roll out instead of pushing at the very first week of every month.

Each software build follows three testing stages: Closed Beta – Open Beta – Official Release. We always aim at providing you with the latest security patch available, but the entire testing process needs roughly 15-20 days to complete.
