The division of the variants is essentially done on the basis of availability of single or dual SIM card options depending on the region of release as well as the ability to support limited bands and network frequencies. One is a Global variant with Single SIM module, the other Global variant comes with Dual SIM and lastly, there is one with Dual SIM for the China/Taiwan region. A detailed overview of the models is given below:

Nokia 8 TA-1004

  • Model Number: TA-1004

TA-1004 is the most widely available as well as the most useful in terms of a larger user base. Nokia 8 TA-1012

  • Model Number: TA-1012

Model number TA-1012 is the single SIM variant of the Nokia 8. We have seen less of this unit around as most people prefer the dual SIM functionality. This variant is available globally, so we expect to see it in some European region only.

Nokia 8 TA-1052

Variant number TA-1052 is yet to be released but we know it will be available in the China/Taiwan and the US region only.
