Huawei P30 Pro will be getting the Android Q update along with several other Huawei devices. We also know, Huawei is working on its own variant of Android by the name of Hongmeng OS, but not much is available other than the name. An early build of EMUI 10, based on Android Q, was leaked earlier today and installed on the P30 Pro – giving us an early look at what is Huawei planning to include in the next iteration of EMUI.
So far, the only Hauwei phone to be included among the official Android Q beta program was Huawei Mate 20 Pro. So we were already confirmed about Android Q coming to the Mate 20 Pro. However, as the days go by this update seems to be in trouble because of the US ban on Huawei.
EMUI 10 on Huawei P30 Pro is based on the upcoming Android Q. This means, EMUI 10 will bring the new controls over notifications and all the other features announced by Google. Enthusiasts over at XDA-Developers have managed to get it running on the P30 Pro, but like we said, EMUI 10 is still in its very early stages. That means, the changes are very minimal.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro was the only Huawei phone confirmed and to be included in the Android Q beta program, after Google I/O 2019 in May. This phone was removed by the Android team from the program after the US government announced a ban to all business with Huawei. Soon after, Huawei was given an extension by the US government, so the phone got back into the Android Q program list.
It’s good to see Huawei working to bring Android Q / EMUI 10 to its latest flagship, the Huawei P30 Pro, and as per the reports, to a number of other Huawei and Honor devices as well.
