How to Use WhatsApp on PC with Any Number

WhatsApp Messenger is only available for mobile devices, like Android, iPhone, BlackBerry, Symbian etc. but some developers have got it working on a PC as well with the help of emulators – Bluestack Player for Windows is one of the most popular emulators for Android.

You can now use WhatsApp on a computer with the help of a small utility called ThatsAPC. The best part is, you can use any mobile number with this app but need to enter the IMEI number of a mobile phone. This program functions more like the iPhone WhatsApp Messenger. We have written the complete tutorial below on how to use WhatsApp on PC with any number.

Use WhatsApp on Computer (Windows / Linux)

Follow the following quick and easy steps to get WhatsApp working on your phone without the need of an actual mobile number. You just need a phone with IMEI code.

Step 1 – Download ThatsAPC and extract the zip file.

Step 2  – Now open thatsapc.exe from the extracted folder.

Step 3 – Enter your information as given below for logging / signing up into WhatsApp Messenger:

Nickname (your name), Country Code (e.g. 971 for U.A.E), Number (your mobile number) and IMEI Number (dial *#06# on your phone to find it).

Step 4 – Tap the ‘Login’ button now. This will take some time (sometimes around 5-10 minutes to connect). It might seem ThatsAPC is not responding, but it is working.

Step 5 – When you see the main ThatsAPC window, go to Contacts > Add. you will have to add a new WhatsApp contact from here with whom you want to exchange text messages.

Step 6 – Once added, select the name from the list (in the left pane) and start chatting away!

That’s it! Like we said, this utility is still in very early stages. At the moment, you can only receive WhatsApp messages on PC. You cannot send them, but that will be added soon in the future release, we expect.
