Samsung Galaxy S20 TWRP is now available and you can install it on your Galaxy S20, S20+ and S20 Ultra using this guide. Galaxy phones, especially flagships such as the S20, are always popular with developers and this is why we have a TWRP build available so early on. Once installed, users will then be able to root, flash custom ROMs and do more system mods on their Galaxy S20 series devices.
Since TeamWin updated TWRP custom recovery’s code base to support Android 10, it was relatively easy for developers to port over a build to Galaxy S20. Once installed on Samsung Galaxy S20 / Galaxy S20+ or Galaxy S20 Ultra, enthusiasts will have access to all TWRP features; popular ones being the ability to flash custom ROMs and root.

Custom recoveries utilize Android’s built-in recovery paritition which is dedicated towards installing updates, factory resetting the phone and other maintainence that can’t be done while the system is running. In addition to these basic functions, custom recoveries like TWRP allow for flashing of custom ZIP files, advanced partition wipes and more.
TWRP acts as a fundamental gateway for other system modifications. Most custom ROMs, root packages and mods that you will come across will be designed to work with TWRP.
