Samsung Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 10 Plus are now recieving June 2020 update with build code N970FXXU4CTE9 and N975FXXU4CTE9. These new firmwares bring latest security patch to devices along with bug-fixes and some new features as well. Keeping speed with Google, June patch has arrived for the Note 10 series pretty quick. With rumors around for Note 20, its good to see Samsung still focusing on improving last year’s Note 10 lineup. Users can download official June 2020 firmware update from ahead.

Google has delayed its Android 11 release timeline due to various circumstances. So, for Android R on Note 10, we would have to wait a bit longer. Tracing back to June 2020 build, this is an incremental update that comes with various changes. Call and Text on Other Devices Toggle

Samsung has added a new toggle on its June 2020 update that lets users disable and enable Call and Text on Other Devices. This feature allows you to connect your SIM-free Galaxy device to your phone and in turn, to the carrier your phone is connected to. Before, users were required to browse settings to enable or disable this functionality. However, in June 2020 build, there is a new notification center toggle for on-the-fly switching.

Importantly, Galaxy Note 10 is getting June 2020 security patch with the latest firmware release. Each month, Google releases new security definitions that make Android more secure and less susceptible to attacks. This specific build carries all the changes that Google launched for June.

These changes might not seem much but it is always recommended to run latest firmware on your phone. Further, these builds also carry various bug-fixes that don’t get highlighted in the change-log but are present, nevertheless.

The build code for both phones is exactly the same, however, do confirm which model you have before downloading to get the correct firmware files. You can not flash Note 10 Plus firmware on standard Galaxy Note 10. Even if you accidentally try to do so, Odin will throw a warning and would not proceed.
