This gesture support is available on all EMUI 8 devices from Huawei. Also, taking a screenshot through this procedure is exactly similar to what you would get with the button toggle. Once you take the screenshot, the phone would also ask you whether you would like to make it a scrollshot — capture another screen after scrolling once and stitching both to make one long picture. How to Capture Screenshot with Three Finger Gesture:

As said before, this functionality is specific to EMUI 8 and above. If you don’t have the P20 Pro / P20 Lite but some other Huawei EMUI 8 device, chances are this guide will work.

Step 1 – You need to activate the gesture itself before you can actually use it. In order to do so, go into the Settings app and select the Smart Assistance menu.

Step 2 – From the Smart Assistance menu, find out Motion Control.

Step 3 – From the menu, tap on Three Finger Screenshot and enable the slider button.

Step 4 – Close the settings app, head to the screen which you want to capture.

Step 5 – Now to take a screenshot, just hold out three fingers packed closely and swipe downwards on the display. Ideally, you should start swiping down from the middle of the display.

How to Find Saved Screenshots?

You can easily find your saved screenshots through the stock Gallery app. Or manually, you can go to the Pictures > Screenshots folder in your phone memory and check all the screenshots you have taken so far.

To transfer screenshots and other media from Huawei P20 Lite smartphone to your computer, make sure you have the right apps to do that. You should have latest Huawei USB drivers so your phone is easily recognized by the computer.
