Samsung Galaxy S9 was launched with the latest flagship technical specifications and several updated features. How to Install Galaxy S9 Stock Apps on Galaxy S8 / Galaxy S8+
Right below are the complete instructions on how to install Galaxy S9 apps either on the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus.
To Remember:
- This root method tutorial is only for Samsung Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8 Plus.
- Make sure you backup all your data in your phone before proceeding as a precaution.
- Your Galaxy S8 should be running Android 8.0 Oreo for most of these apps to run.
- You should have TWRP (Galaxy S8 / Galaxy S8 Plus) installed on your device.
If you have fulfilled all the requirements above, then proceed to the actual tutorial.
Step 1 – Download Galaxy S9 Stock Apps and transfer the ZIP file to the root folder of your device.
Step 2 – Power off your phone and enter into TWRP recovery. Once the phone is powered off, press and hold Volume Up, Power and Bixby button together for a few seconds. If you are having issues, read: How to Enter Recovery Mode on Galaxy S8 / How to Enter Recovery Mode on Galaxy S8 Plus.
Step 3 – In TWRP recovery, choose Install ZIP package.
Step 4 – Select the ZIP file you transferred in Step 1 and confirm install.
Step 5 – After the installation is complete, select reboot to system.
Step 6 – Done!
