Download Android Q Beta 3 for Non-Google Phones

At I/O 2019 developer conference, Google unveiled more details about upcoming major Android Q revision. While features have been the main part of the discussion, importantly, Google has announced that new Android Q Beta 3 will be arriving on 21 devices from 13 different OEMs and that too on top of existing, supported Pixel devices. This is a big jump up from last year’s Android P beta release. We are glad to see Google being more inclusive of third-party manufacturers when it comes to software updates and software testing. This is a great trend that Google is following, allowing third-party manufacturers to let their users test out Android Beta software. What’s New in Android Q?

While Google is still gradually developing and adding features to Android Q, these Beta builds give us an interesting early look at whats upcoming. For starters, Android Q is based on a similar UI as Android Pie but has improvements across the board. There is a new Dark Theme toggle, better Digital Wellbeing implementation and also improved performance. Newer API will bring richer experiences to apps as well.

Did your device make the cut? Google has really chosen a diverse set of devices to run Android Q Beta. Missing, however, is any Samsung device which is unfortunate to see.
