For people like me, this is going to be a delight to use. Other than saving battery life, a system-wide dark UI just looks cool and ‘dope’. It is highly appreciated of Google to include a launcher-wide option of a dark UI when you have a dark coloured wallpaper on your phone.

How to Enable Dark Mode on Huawei Mate 20 / Mate 20 Pro

Built into Huawei Mate 20’s stock system — EMUI 9 — is a Dark Mode option which you can enable to switch from normal white background UI on stock apps to a much cleaner looking black one.

Here are all the steps explained one by one on how to have Dark Mode enabled on Huawei Mate 20 / Mate 20 Pro:

Step 1 – Open the Settings app. You can do it by locating the shortcut on your home-screen or by simply scrolling down the notification panel and tapping on the Gear icon located at the top-right.

Step 2 – Within the app, choose Battery section.

Step 3 – From here, you should be able to an option Darken interface colors. Tap on it to enable it.

  1. Wrong information, Mate 20 (non-pro doesn’t have this option) it’s for devices with AMOLED screens only ? Really dumb decision on Huawei’s part.
