Enable 4K UHD video recording on Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro
Step 1 – First step is to use your root File Explorer to browse to the following file /system/etc/device_features/whyred.xml
Step 2 – Open the file. If your device doesn’t recognize the file type, you should download Axel (XML Editor / Viewer) app from the Play Store.
Step 3 – Find the line that says “support_camera_4k_quality“. Change the value from “false” to “true“, then save the file.
Step 4 – Reboot your Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro and now in Camera settings, you should have UHD 4K option under video resolution.
