Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was just announced today during Samsung’s formal event held in New York earlier. The brand, once again, has went all out on its latest large size smartphone. The new Note 7 comes with loads of new features. Most important ones include the rethought S-Pen, water-resistance, USB-C, curved dual edges and also an Iris Sensor. Yes, there is an Iris sensor present on the Note 7. If fingerprints weren’t enough, you now have the option to store your Iris footprint and use it to secure your phone.
The Note 7 comes equipped with a 2560×1440 5.7 inch display, similar to the one in the Note 5. Battery capacity has been increased from 3,000mAh to 3,500mAh which would result in a quite noticeable difference. There is now only one storage option, 64GB and fortunately, expandable storage is standard as well. It comes standard with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The Iris scanner is a first in Android mobile technology. The demos were good but we have to see how it equates in real usage. Nonetheless, if you dont want to use it, the fingerprint scanner is also available.
