Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is finally launched in India in an event held by Xiaomi today. The 16GB version of the phone (with 2GB RAM) will cost INR 9,999 (about $150) and the 32GB version (with 3GB RAM) will cost INR 11,999 (about $180). Both phones are available today and can be purchased right now.
Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is bigger and better than the previous model. It has a full aluminum unibody design with curved edges. It now has a fingerprint sensor on the back which can unlock the phone in just 0.3seconds. The display is 5.5 inch with a resolution of 1920×1080. It comes in 2 memory variants, either 16 GB internal storage with 2 GB of RAM or 32 GB internal storage with 3 GB of RAM.
The phone comes with Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box but we hope that Xiaomi will update the phone to Android 6.0 Marshmallow soon. The chipset is Qualcomm MSM8956 Snapdragon 650 with Quad-core 1.4 GHz Cortex-A53 & Dual-core 1.8 GHz Cortex-A72 CPU and Adreno 510 GPU. The camera is 16 MP with phase detection autofocus and dual-LED (dual tone) flash. Front camera is 5 MP for great selfies. Both cameras can record 1080p videos.
The phone has a massive 4,050mAh battery which will easily last 2 days on normal usage. The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 is 4G LTE capable and is available today to purchase.
