Telegram is an instant messaging service just like WhatsApp. It has many benefits over WhatsApp like you can send media files up to 1GB while WhatsApp lets you send files up to 16MB only. Telegram recently received an update which improves voice messaging on both iOS and Android.
Telegram has announced today that it has over 100 million users now. 100 million users are not a small deal. It delivers 15 billion messages daily. About 350,000 users sign up for it each day which shows the rapid growth of the company and it might soon reach 200 million users milestone.
Telegram is one of the very few services other than WhatsApp whose user base is increasing day by day. It is very good to see that there is a solid competition of WhatsApp. But it is still far behind than the WhatsApp. WhatsApp has over 1 billion users now. It might take years for Telegram to catch up to WhatsApp but we hope it does.
