Samsung will 360 Degree Live Stream Galaxy Unpacked 2016

In their blog post, Samsung has announced that they will be holding a 360 degree live stream of their highly anticipated Unpacked 2016 event which is to be held on 21st February in a few days time. Following the trend, Samsung will allow all users to access a much more vivid experience through Virtual Reality technology. 360 degree video in itself is a major upgrade but for users who have VR headsets can take the experience much further. This is yet another useful implementation of VR.

PC users can enjoy the 360 live stream by visiting Galaxy Unpacked page on the Samsung website while smartphone users can download the Unpacked 360 app, iOS and Android users both. On to the exciting part, Gear VR owners can go to the Oculus Store and search for Unpacked 360 View app in order to get the full experience with their headset. There is no indication of third party VR headsets working with this stream yet.

We think this is a good initiative by major companies to start broadcasting in 360 degree. Not only does it spice up an otherwise boring keynote but truly helps to nurture Virtual Reality. A more detailed how-to live stream post will be published very soon with final links so keep an eye out!
