Samsung Galaxy Note 5 is now receiving the latest Android flavour, the 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The new update has the build number N920CXXU2BPB6. The update is is available for the Note 5 units in Cambodia. The update is available through Samsung Smart Switch. OTA rollout has not yet begin but it should begin soon. You can always check for updates manually by going into settings and phone updates. You can set to automatically check for updates so that you get it as soon as it is available.
Note 5 got the Marshmallow about 4 days after Samsung announced the Marshmallow for S6 and S6 edge globally.
The new update brings many improvements to the Galaxy Note 5 including Doze, which increases the standby time by 2x when compared to Lollipop. Improved app permissions are also included in Marshmallow which lets you give individual permissions to the apps. The updated Samsung browser “Internet 4.0” is also included. It now supports ad blocking. You can install certain extensions from Play Store to block the ads in Samsung Internet 4.0.
