Chainfire has updated his SuperSU project to version 2.66. This new package brings in a script to fix the deep sleep bug on the newly announced Android 6.0 Marshmallow test firmwares for the Samsung Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. Deep sleep isn’t to be confused with Doze — an enhanced stand-by feature announced in Marshmallow. Deep Sleep has been integrated in Android since it’s intial stages, it allows devices to save precious battery when not in use. Users reported this bug as soon as they flashed latest SuperSU packages. Regardless, Chainfire has addressed it in the latest BETA SuperSU 2.66 release.
It is still to note that SuperSU is still a work in progress for addressing the new 6.0 Marshmallow standard as well as some Samsung 5.1 Lollipop firmwares. Chainfire and concerned developers are working very hard and getting close to a final release build by each passing day.
