After launching the Redmi 2 Prime, Xiaomi launches yet another phone known as Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime. It is a mid-range phablet with a very decent set of specifications.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime comes with a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Internal memory is 16 GB which is further expandable up to 32 GB with Micro SD card. RAM is decent 2 GB which is enough for smooth multitasking. It comes with Snapdragon 410 chipset with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 CPU and Adreno 306 GPU.
Main camera is 13 MP which can record 1080p videos and the front camera is 5 MP which can record 720p videos. On the connectivity side, it is a dual sim phone with both sims supports LTE. 3G bands 900 / 1900 / 2100 are supported and 4G bands 1, 3, 4 and 41 are supported.
The one weird thing about this phone is that it comes with the old Android KitKat out of the box. Kitkat is now more than a year old. We hope that Xioami will update this device to Android Lollipop or Marshmallow soon.
