LG Announced LG Ray, a 5.5 inch Phone With 8 MP Front Camera

LG announced a new mid-range phone with a large screen today. The newly announced phone is LG Ray and its design is inspired by the LG G4.

The phone has a 5.5-inch display with a screen resolution of 1280×720. The resolution is not impressive for a phone with a screen this big. However, the cameras on the LG Ray are impressive. It has a 13 MP back camera which can record 1080p videos. The front camera is 8 MP which, probably, can record 1080p videos as well. The lock and volume keys are just under the camera just like the G series. Some features of the ROM are also copied from the G series. It is a dual sim device.

The operating system on the phone is Android 5.1 Lollipop which LG might upgrade to Marshmallow soon as the device is new. The chipset is MediaTek MT6592M with an octa-core processor.

The battery on the phone is a large 3,000 mAh. The major drawbacks of this phone are that it has no LTE and the RAM is just 1 GB.

The LG Ray will be available in Russia for around $230.
