Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime Gets Android 5.1.1 Lollipop

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime is one of the most popular Samsung’s mid-range Android smartphones. It came with Android 4.4.4 KitKat out of the box and many people thought that it will never receive any update.

But Samsung has proven them wrong and updated the Galaxy Grand Prime to Android 5.1.1 Lollipop. The Android 5.1.1 Lollipop update is available today for most Grand Prime devices. It was first available on Verizon’s Grand Prime, but the roll out has now been expanded to more flavors of Grand Prime. The update is available over the air or you can download and install it via Odin from here.

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime comes with a 5.0-inch display with a resolution of 540×960 pixels. Internal storage is 8 GB which is further expandable by a Micro SD card. There is 1 GB RAM for multitasking and it comes with a 2600mAh battery. It comes with Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 with Quad-core 1.2 GHz Cortex-A53 processor and Adreno 306 GPU. There is an 8 MP back camera and a 5 MP front camera. Both cameras can record 1080p videos.
