After Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy S6 Edge+ (Plus) at the Unpacked event, it also announced some new software features to be included with the hardware. Logically, the original Galaxy S6 Edge owners wanted these features as well rather than buying a new phone altogether. Thankfully, Samsung has not denied consumers an update but it has pushed XXU2COH2 firmware for the Galaxy S6 Edge. This firmware brings key features like the Apps Edge from the Galaxy S6 Edge+ (Plus) to the original Galaxy S6 Edge G925F.
You know the new gimmicky feature that allowed you to view your contacts when you swiped in from the right? Well, it has been enhanced to feature apps. This allows you to access your favorite apps along with the usual contacts. Also, as with other firmware updates, the perfomance has been worked upon along with security fixes. Camera’s ability to take RAW photos is still missing but we think if Samsung has brought this addition, it will bring more as well.
